A Georgia Republican lawmaker is lampooning his own party over the speaker fight with some well-curated meme making.

Rep. Mike Collins, R-Ga., has not held back his feelings over the weekslong House slog searching for a speaker, taking to social media to blast the chaos in the GOP caucus.

Most recently, on Monday night, Collins wrote that he believes Tuesday will bring the new House speaker after weeks of deliberations and infighting among House Republicans, saying he would be setting his alarm to get up early for the day.

“I really think tomorrow will be the day we will finally have a Speaker,” Collins wrote. “Will be setting my alarm clock to 6AM sharp!”

Tuesday morning at 6:01 a.m., however, Collins posted a video of himself smashing his alarm clock while sleeping on the couch in his office.

Collins’ memes have become a speaker fight staple on X and have gotten thousands of engagements since he began his lampoon of the fight following former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s historic ouster weeks ago.

Monday afternoon, Collins posted a picture of his “PLATFORM FOR SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE” that included policies such as the “House must work longer hours than” the United Auto Workers union, “press releases out/memes in,” and “wider parking spaces to fit up to 18 wheels.”

“Fresh off the printer. Will be hitting the halls,” Collins wrote. “Our movement. Our time.”

Another meme he posted was of a couple in bed with the wife assuming her husband is “thinking about other women,” while he was actually thinking of “who can get to 217” — the number of votes currently needed to grab the gavel.

Collins also posted a meme of the Marvel villain Thanos explaining to a young Gamora that ousting McCarthy cost “everything.”

“Good morning. Woke up late. Not sure if it was the 3-hour marathon floor session or what, but needed the rest,” Collins joked in another post from Oct. 19.

“Hitting the floor again today at the crack of noon to do The People’s work!” he added.

Collins even made posters of his memes and took them to the House GOP conference meeting on Monday night, when speaker candidates made their speeches to their colleagues.

The Georgia memer-in-chief reportedly took the posters to the wrong location for the conference meeting.

Additionally, all the memes have come while Collins’ communications director is on her honeymoon — something the congressman noted in his commentary.

“When the comms director gets back from her wedding week off, y’all please tell her I’ve been behaving,” Collins posted.

House Republicans are voting on Tuesday morning for their party’s next speaker nominee after Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, failed to secure enough votes to get the gavel.

The vote comes after the candidates made their pitch to the GOP conference on Monday night at a candidate forum.
